以色列隊前大聯盟強投Jason Marquis（馬奎斯）今天（2日）在經典賽（WBC）對韓國警察廳的官辦熱身賽中，先發2局沒失分，調整的相當出色，Marquis將是3月6日以色列首戰韓國隊的先發投手。
38歲的Marquis有豐富的大聯盟經歷，15年大聯盟生涯，先後效力勇士、紅雀、小熊、國民、洛磯、響尾蛇、雙城、教士、紅人等隊，戰績124勝118敗、防禦率4.61，2009年效力洛磯隊時曾入選國家聯盟明星隊。
去年以色列隊能夠從資格賽脫穎而出，Marquis是大功臣，今天他在首爾高尺巨蛋對韓職二軍警察廳隊先發，投2局沒失分，最快球速約140公里，滑球、變速球及曲球都投的相當銳利，唯一的瑕疵是第1局面對第一名打者投出保送。
除了Marquis，去年效力洋基隊的Ike Davis，生涯轟出81支全壘打，他將是以色列隊的主砲。
勇士隊今天與遊騎兵隊完成了球員交易，勇士隊用Tyrell Jenkins、Brady Feigl兩名投手與遊騎兵隊交易來投手Luke Jackson。
25歲的Jackson球速最快可達95哩，甚至接近100哩，但他一直苦於控球不佳，因此在大聯盟上場的機會並不多，這2年在遊騎兵隊，Jackson僅在大聯盟出賽15場，本季在大聯盟出賽8場，投11.2局，防禦率10.80。
從數據上可看出，Jackson確實還不夠格上大聯盟，不過勇士隊看上了Jackson擁有能投出火球的潛質，語音聊天因此用2名投手換來Jackson，希望他的球技能夠再升級。
至於遊騎兵隊換來的Tyrell Jenkins、Brady Feigl。Tyrell Jenkins，24歲，本季在大聯盟出賽14場，8場先發，投52局，戰績2勝4敗、防禦率5.88。25歲的Brady Feigl，沒有大聯盟經歷，最高層級到3A。
